Menu Bag

I live in a place where you can have any kind of food imaginable delivered. Italian, Chinese, Greek, American, you name it and it can be delivered (with minimum $8 order). One of the perks of living in a college town. About once a week we get a new take out menu left on the door. I was keeping the menus in a drawer, but they were getting messed up. I made a take out menu bag to keep them in and stuck it to the wall in the kitchen.

It says Don't Assume I Cook, which sadly I usually don't.

Gnocchi!

I made gnocchi tonight for dinner. I got the recipe from Vegweb.com. The recipe says prep and cook time is around 45 minutes. It took me almost 3 hours to make the dough, roll the gnocchi and boil it. I managed to watch most of Munich while rolling the gnocchi. I think next time I'm going to try making it with white flour instead of whole wheat flour. I've never really liked the taste of whole wheat flour.

Hershey Pa

Pictures from our vacation to Hershey Pennsylvania.

View from our suite of the Hershey factory

Another picture of the factory

All of the street lights in Hershey are shaped like Hershey kisses. Some are chocolate and some are wrapped in the silver foil.

Our trip was fun. One of the days we went to Chocolate World (I forgot to take pictures). They don't do factory tours anymore, but they have a ride that is a simulation of the tour. You ride in little cars and takes you on a mock tour of the factory. After wards we got to do a taste test for their marketing. I tested Almond Joys and Doug did Mr. Goodbars. Then we went to the gift shop where we spent $33 on chocolate. Most of it was for other people, but I got Hershey green tea bars, a chai bar and Reese's chocolate lip gloss.
We spent one of the days driving almost all of the way to Philly so we could go to

Surprisingly I didn't buy anything. Doug bought another set of pots like the ones we bought when we went on our trip to Maine. We also went to Whole Foods where I bought the biggest vegan oatmeal raisin cookie I've ever seen.
